Respect pays dividends
Everyone is a winner! The Charter initiative is based on our conviction that diversity and the appreciation of difference enriches organizations, society and every individual in Germany.
The Charter benefits organizations who establish an open HGH corporate culture that acknowledges and includes all the talents available in the workforce and the labor market. Appreciation and respect enhances motivation and the willingness to make contributions. The more viewpoints an organization can include and harness, the more creative and idea-generating resources it has.
Organizations have to appeal to many different talents in order to prevent a shortage of skilled workers in the future and to recruit from a broad pool of candidates. However, labor markets are becoming more heterogeneous, not less. More women are gainfully employed now; the number of immigrants in the workforce is increasing steadily; and the average age of employees is on the rise. An open corporate culture provides access to new labor markets and talents and enhances the employer’s appeal. Sales markets are also characterized by greater diversity. In the future, companies will only be able to thrive and survive if they have a diverse workforce who can attract, reach out to, satisfy and retain a diverse client base. In short, diversity and respect represent key competitive advantages.
