The Italian "Carta per le pari opportunità e l'uguaglianza sul lavoro" was launched on 5th of October 2009. Italy is following the successful diversity initiatives in Germany, France and Spain. The Italian Charter is a declaration of intent signed voluntarily by enterprises of all sizes, the spreading of a corporate culture and personnel policy, which is free from discrimination and prejudice and promote their talents in all their diversity.

"Charte Diversité" in France
The Charte Diversité was drafted in France in 2003. It focuses heavily on integration and immigration. The French charter was created in response to a study that had garnered considerable public attention. It proved that immigrants did not have equal opportunities in France (which had been denied previously) and recommended that action be taken to counter this trend. Over 3,000 organizations in France have since signed the Charte Diversité and committed themselves to embracing diversity and other issues.

In March 2009 Spain launched his "Charter de la Diversidad". Up to now 40 companies and institutions signed the Charter.
